# Learning the Games

Section

Step-by-step explanations of how each game is put together, one rule at a time.

- Learning the Games[How a roulette wheel is laid out, and why the order looks random](https://miucasino.com/learning-the-games/how-a-roulette-wheel-is-laid-out/)The numbers around a wheel head are not in counting order, and they are not scattered at random either. The ring is arranged so that colours, high numbers and odd numbers are spread as evenly as the geometry allows.
- Learning the Games[Reading a blackjack rule card before you sit down](https://miucasino.com/learning-the-games/reading-a-blackjack-rule-card/)Every blackjack table prints its own terms on the felt in a handful of short lines. Those lines, not the dealer and not the shoe, decide what the game is worth.
- Learning the Games[Why baccarat scoring drops the tens digit](https://miucasino.com/learning-the-games/why-baccarat-scoring-drops-the-tens-digit/)A baccarat hand is scored by adding the cards and keeping only the last digit. It is the single rule that makes the rest of the game intelligible.
- Learning the Games[What a reel game paytable actually lists, and what it leaves out](https://miucasino.com/learning-the-games/what-a-slot-paytable-actually-lists/)The paytable behind a reel game is a complete statement of what pays and how much. It is a deliberately incomplete statement of how often.
